Yesterday we were at a couple of different events. Out in Lancaster we spent the day at the Lancaster Liederkranz Beer Fest. This was their first year doing one, and although attendance was a little lower than they expected, it was really nice for all the brewers as we got the chance to move around, talk, sample, and generally catch up. We’ve been to so many beer festivals lately that are so busy, there’s times we don’t even get to say hi to the brewers standing right next to us.
The band was really awesome, the food delicious, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. I’m sure next year will be a lot bigger once people learn what a great day it was.
While we were our in Lancaster, Luke was down in Philadelphia at Chestnut 7 for a tap takeover! We brought in a firkin of our Chocolate Pumpkin Porter. This was actually the first time it’s been tapped anywhere so we were really excited to see what people thought. It was a great event. We love doing firkins, mainly because we don’t get a chance to do them that often, and they give us an added chance to experiment by throwing different things in the cask.
